Job summary

National Fitness Partners, the largest Planet Fitness franchise, is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Northampton, MA. The part-time position starts at $15 per hour, with increases at 180 days, 1 year, and every 6 months after the first year.

Hours are Monday 4pm-10pm with coverage as needed. Responsibilities include delivering superior service, greeting members, processing purchases, promoting fitness classes, and maintaining a clean, safe club.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script.
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns promptly and professionally.
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the POS system.
• Promote fitness instruction classes to active and new members.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Customer Service Representative Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests, ensuring an exceptional Judgement Free member experience.
• Answer phones in a friendly manner using information script
• Greet members, sign up and tour new members, and log amenities.
• Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Process beverage or merchandise purchases through the point of sale system
• Promote our unique fitness instruction classes (PE@PF) to our active members and our new members
• Provide a clean, sanitized and safe club environment.

Physical Demands

• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Will encounter cleaning chemicals during shift
• Frequent climbing, balancing, kneeling and crouching during shift
• Continual reaching with hands/fingers/arms during shift
