Job summary

Audacy in Richmond, VA, is seeking a Part Time Board Operator/Producer and On Air Personality to join the Programming team. You will run the control board, cue commercials and logs, and produce talk shows and live sports broadcasts.

You’ll be working with an experienced Major Market management team as well as an outstanding support staff.

Pay Transparency

The anticipated starting salary range for Richmond-based individuals expressing interest in this position is $15.00/Hr. - $18.00/Hr..

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

Job responsibilities:

• Run the control board, following station format, arranging and playing commercials and IDs according to program and commercial logs as well asproduce talk shows, sporting events, and on-site broadcasts
• Candidates must demonstrate the ability to collaborate on story ideas and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Candidates must be detail oriented and cool under the pressure of meeting tight deadlines.
• Collaborate with newsroom staff
• Create original content and perform live broadcasts that are entertaining and informative
• Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; manage online personality presence
• Must be willing to work a schedule that will include holidays, nights, overnights, and/or weekends.
• Follow all applicable laws and FCC regulations.
• Other duties as required by management

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and/or fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Position requires ability to manipulate knobs, levers and push buttons.
