iHeartMedia is seeking a Board Operator in Des Moines, IA to ensure broadcasts run smoothly and sound great for millions of listeners. You will operate studio equipment, monitor programming, and coordinate with talent and teams to place ads accurately.

The role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.
• Monitor on-air programming for quality, timing, and FCC compliance.
• Coordinate with talent, producers, and traffic teams for smooth transitions and ad placement.
• Troubleshoot technical issues in real time and escalate as needed.
• Record, edit, and load audio content for playback using automation systems.
• Maintain logs and documentation for regulatory and internal compliance.
• Support remote broadcasts and live events as needed.

What You'll Do:

• Operate broadcast console and studio equipment during live and pre-recorded shows.

What You'll Need:

• Strong technical aptitude and familiarity with broadcast equipment and automation systems (e.g., NexGen, Adobe Audition).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or coursework a plus.
