Job summary

Midland College is seeking an adjunct instructor for Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Technology (AHRT) to support the dean and students. The role involves coordinating student services, attending advisory meetings, and collaborating with local industry to strengthen the program.

The position may require split day/evening hours and includes duties as assigned. A related Associate’s degree and 3–5 years of industry experience are preferred, with proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field.
• Three to five years of experience in the industry.
• Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of all related equipment to the program of study.
• Develop and teach courses offered in the AHRT program.
• Work with representatives of local industry to further the program and enhance the instructional resources.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and coordinate support services for students and industry regarding school-to-work, high school, and cooperative learning activities.
• Attend advisory committee meetings.
• Participate in recruiting and advising activities.
• Work may require a split day and evening work schedule.
• Other duties as assigned.
