Job summary

Oregon State University’s School of Psychological Science seeks two part-time UGRD Student Assistants to serve as reception and support staff. The role provides exposure to higher education administration, helps with daily operations, mail handling, and building access, and offers practical experience in communication and organization.

You must be enrolled in a college program, commit at least 20 hours weekly, and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a higher education program (school/college/university).
• Must meet academic standing requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible.
• Must meet minimal enrollment standards for student employees; specifics per program.

Responsibilities

• Reception duties: greet guests, answer questions, direct visitors, handle mail, open/close the building.
• Office support: filing, shipments, document creation, assist students with inquiries.
• Facilities support: assist with events, light maintenance, move equipment and supplies.
• Event planning and support for school events and programs.
• Marketing and social media support for school events and programs.
• Other projects as needed based on priorities.
