Job summary

Main Line Health hospital in Malvern, PA is seeking a Registration Specialist, Psych to be the first contact for patients entering the Psychology Department at Bryn Mawr Rehab Hospital. You will perform patient data entry, verify demographics and insurance, and schedule inpatient and outpatient psychology/neuropsychology appointments.

Preferred candidates have 2+ years in patient registration or financial counseling, knowledge of medical/behavioral health terminology, and experience with EMR

Qualifications

• Two or more years of patient registration and/or financial counseling experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical and/or behavior health terminology preferred
• Knowledge of managed care guidelines required.
• Strong organizational skills, detail oriented and able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and problem resolution skills required.
• Experience with electronic medical record scheduling or registration applications, use of multiple databases, as well as working knowledge of the internet, word, excel and email.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for patients and families entering the Psychology Department.
• Enter and verify patient demographics, insurance and financial information.
• Schedule inpatient and outpatient psychology and neuropsychology appointments.
• Verify insurances for all service types and assist with medical/behavioral health coverage questions.
