OhioGuidestone is seeking a skilled scheduler to manage psychiatry department appointments and coordinate with nursing and reception teams. You will enter, adjust, and confirm patient bookings, send reminders, and handle cancellations with care to maintain continuity of care.

The role requires 1+ year in scheduling or patient service in a medical setting, a valid Ohio driver’s license, and proficiency with standard office software.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years’ experience in an appointment scheduling position or customer service position, preferably in a medical practice setting.
• Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License with a safe driving record and valid insurance.
• Ability to take and pass a physical exam, tuberculosis test, and drug screening.

Aufgaben

• Schedule initial appointments, follow-ups, and reschedule cancelled appointments by phone or in person.
• Allocate 20-30 minute slots in provider schedules and monitor daily capacity.
• Call clients on waiting lists to fill open slots and manage sooner appointment requests.
• Make appointment reminder calls 1-2 days prior and coordinate transportation if needed.
• Record cancellations in EVOLV and reschedule to maintain continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and generate reports on appointment patterns.
• Ensure no-show policies are followed and discuss system problems with psychiatry staff.
