Job summary

Meridell Achievement Center seeks a licensed therapist to provide individualized therapy to children and adolescents aged 10–17 in a 134-bed residential setting northwest of Austin.

Hours are 9:00am–5:30pm, Monday through Friday. The role emphasizes collaborative treatment planning, psychoeducation, and discharge planning with families, while working within a compassionate treatment team.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a similar field.
• Two years post-licensure experience; advanced training or certification in EMDR, CBT, or DBT preferred.
• Current Texas license (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, LMSW, LMFT-A, or LPC-A) before hire date or transfer date.
• Current driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized therapy and support to help youths overcome challenges.
• Lead psychoeducation and process groups for patients and families.
• Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare dispositions for seamless transitions.
• Serve as liaison between treatment team and families/community stakeholders.
• Document progress notes and treatment plans timely and accurately.
• Participate in weekly treatment team staffings and meetings.
