Job summary

San Marcos Treatment Center, a 212-bed psychiatric residential facility between Austin and San Antonio, seeks a Registered Nurse for weekend shifts. You will perform physical assessments, implement treatment plans, and supervise staff while ensuring a safe, therapeutic milieu for youth.

Under the Director of Nursing, you will participate in care planning, provide medication administration, and educate patients and families as part of a dedicated behavioral health team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas professional Nurse License.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; maintains patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical assessments of patients.
• Implement treatment plans and evaluate response to treatment.
• Provide health care education for patients and families.
• Act as shift supervisor of MH Techs and LVN staff.
• Ensure environment is safe and therapeutic for all patients.
• Provide direct patient care for children, adolescents, and young adults.
• Ensure safety, supervision, and crisis management.
• Provide medical management and assessment of patients.
• Assist in management of a therapeutic milieu.
