Job summary

Meridell Achievement Center is a 134-bed psychiatric residential treatment facility near Austin. The therapist will develop and implement individualized therapy plans for children and adolescents, coordinating with families to achieve positive outcomes.

Hours are 9:00 am–5:30 pm, Monday–Friday, with a patient-centered treatment team approach. We seek a licensed professional with clinical experience in RTC settings, strong communication skills, and a collaborative mindset to support youths with

Qualifications

• Master's degree required in SW/psychology/mental health counseling or similar.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized therapy and support to help patients overcome challenges.
• Lead psychoeducation and process groups for patients and families.
• Coordinate discharge planning and aftercare dispositions for smooth transitions.
• Serve as liaison between treatment team and families/community stakeholders.
• Document progress notes and treatment plans timely and accurately.
• Participate in weekly treatment team staffings and meetings.

Education

Master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or a similar educational degree
