Job summary

ProMedica Defiance Hospital, a regional psychiatric unit, seeks a per diem Registered Nurse to coordinate patient care and collaborate with the care team. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care while upholding patient-centered practices and safety standards.

The RN must hold an Ohio license, CPR, and ongoing CE requirements; BSN preferred. Per Diem status reflects variable shifts and a commitment to quality care across Demographic needs.

Qualifications

• Current State license as a Registered Nurse.
• Current CPR training.
• Maintains BCLS and other certifications required by the job, i.e., ACLS.
• Twenty-four contact hours of continuing education during licensure period.
• At least 1 hour of contact hours related to Ohio nurse practice code and rules.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates patients' plans of care through effective shift-to-shift communication.
• Applies appropriate techniques to control and prevent infections.
• Uses critical thinking and sound judgment in care delivery.
• Initiates emergency care when needed and adapts to patient needs.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and follows chain of command.
