Job summary

ProMedica is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for the Obstetrics unit in Defiance, OH. You will coordinate patient care, assess needs, and work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver compassionate, evidence-based nursing care across the lifespan.

The role emphasizes patient education, infection control, and adherence to clinical standards. The RN will maintain licensure, complete required CE hours, and participate in ongoing quality and safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Current CPR training.
• The RN must complete 24 contact hours of continuing education during licensure period.
• Maintains BCLS and other certifications required by the job (e.g., ACLS).
• Current State license as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient-centered care across pediatric to geriatric patients.
• Coordinate patient plans of care through shift-to-shift communication.
• Apply infection prevention techniques.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and protect patient confidentiality.
• Deliver emergency care when necessary.
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge needs.
• Follow chain of command for issues and document follow-through.
• Collaborate with health care team to meet patient care goals.
