Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas seeks a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist in Psychiatry for inpatient service at William P. Clements Jr. University Hospital. The role leads pharmacotherapy optimization, rounds with the psychiatry team, and mentors residents and students.

Requirements include ASHP PGY1/PGY2 residency or substantial clinical experience, PharmD or BS in Pharmacy, and Texas licensure with BLS; ACLS as required. Excellent benefits and professional growth opportunities offered.

Qualifications

• ASHP-accredited PGY1/PGY2 residency with 5 years progressive clinical practice
• Bachelor’s degree or PharmD from ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy
• Texas licensure within 30 days and BLS; ACLS for inpatient positions within 6 months

Responsibilities

• Rounding on the Inpatient Psychiatry service and monitoring therapy
• Lead departmental initiatives; education for staff, providers, patients and trainees
• Coordinate staff training, certifications, and continued education for specialty
• Manage formulary and cost‑efficiency initiatives; participate in P&T committee
• Mentor clinical staff pharmacists and participate in new employee orientation and training
