Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, Virginia seeks an RN to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate total nursing care for assigned patients. The role includes supervising non-professional staff and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care in line with Riverside Health system standards.

The ideal candidate will have a nursing license in Virginia or a compact state, CPR/BLS certification, and 1 year of related RN experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree, Nursing preferred; Nursing Diploma minimum; Associate's or Bachelor's accepted in lieu of Nursing Diploma.
• High School Diploma or GED required only if Nursing Diploma graduate.
• 1 year related RN experience preferred.
• RN license in Virginia or compact state upon hire (Required).
• CPR/BLS Certification upon hire (Required).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop a plan of care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary team to implement and evaluate care.
• Educate patients and families, ensuring understanding of discharge instructions.
• Document performance per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegate tasks and supervise non-professional personnel to ensure quality care.
