Job summary

Riverside Health System in Hampton, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients. Under supervision, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes and safe patient transitions.

You will document care consistently, supervise support staff, and deliver patient education to families while meeting RHS standards and regulatory requirements. Sign-on bonus eligibility is available.

Qualifications

• RN license in Virginia or compact state is required at hire.
• Preferred nursing degrees include BSN or ADN with nursing diploma accepted.
• CPR/BLS certification required at hire and ongoing.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs and develop a care plan.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and transitions.
• Document clinical and quality data per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and supervise non-professional staff as needed.
• Provide patient and family education to support discharge planning and follow-up.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure high-quality, ethical patient care.
