Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions provides individualized care to diverse populations, supported by a team of professionals to ensure optimal outcomes. The RN will address psychiatric and behavioral health needs, administer medications, and educate clients within the service area of northeast Ohio.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree and an active RN license, with travel across the service area.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license required.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Address behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving psychiatric treatment.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medications.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Coordinate community services as part of case management.
• Assist clients in developing skills in emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
