Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Ohio seeks a registered nurse to address behavioral and physical health needs of clients across age groups. You will perform screenings, monitor medications, educate on pharmaceuticals, and participate in case management to coordinate community services.

Travel throughout the assigned service area is required; this is a full-time opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package including medical coverage and retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administer injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
