Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Ohio is seeking a registered nurse to address behavioral and physical health needs, perform screenings, monitor medications, educate clients, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an RN license, have experience in psychiatric/behavioral health, and be willing to travel within the service area; experience with developmental disabilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Address the behavioral and physical health needs of clients receiving treatment for psychiatric symptoms.
• Perform health care screenings and check vital signs.
• Administering injections and other medications as needed.
• Monitor and administer medication.
• Educate clients on pharmaceuticals.
• Gather client information and history from the Nurse Practitioner.
• Case management duties including coordination of community services.
• Assist clients in building skills including emotion, stress and anger management, communication and interpersonal relationships.
