Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Dayton, OH is hiring a Psychiatric Registered Nurse (LTC) to provide comprehensive nursing care in long-term care settings. You will join a dedicated team of RNs, LPNs, physicians and mental health professionals.

Work is full-time, Monday–Friday 9am–5pm with no weekends, offering comprehensive training, benefits and a focus on individualized care. Travel within the service area may be required and you will mentor peers as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• LPN or RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working in LTC facilities as well as Behavioral Health.
• CPR or Course can be provided during training.

Responsibilities

• Address the mental, behavioral and physical health needs of clients on a weekly/biweekly and/or monthly basis.
• Complete in person nursing assessments as well as medication and chart review in long term care facilities (LTC).
• Educate caregivers and clients on their prescribed psychiatric and physical health medications and monitor for possible side effects.
• Care management duties including coordination of community services and correspondence with treatment team members, including physicians, pharmacies, employment programs.
• Assist clients in building coping skills to address mood, stressors and improve communication and in creating annual goals as it relates to their psychiatric diagnosis.
• Possibly assisting clinic and residential needs for assigned locations.
• Help train and mentor peers.
• May need to cover more than one facility depending on company needs
