Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions is hiring a full-time Psychiatric RN for LTC settings. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team to address mental, behavioral, and physical health needs in long-term care facilities.

Qualifications include RN/LPN license, nursing program graduate, and psychiatric/behavioral health experience. Travel within the service area is required; LTC experience preferred. Training and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• LPN or RN license.
• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably experience in LTC facilities and Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Address the mental, behavioral and physical health needs of clients on a weekly/biweekly and/or monthly basis.
• Perform in-person nursing assessments and chart review in long term care facilities (LTC).
• Educate caregivers and clients on prescribed psychiatric and physical health medications and monitor side effects.
• Care management duties including coordination of community services and communications with treatment team.
• Assist clients in building coping skills to address mood, stressors and improve communication and in creating annual goals.
• Possibly assist clinic and residential needs for assigned locations.
• Help train and mentor peers.
• May cover more than one facility depending on company needs.

Requirements for this position include:

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.

• Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
• Willingness to travel throughout assigned service area.
• Preferably has experience working in LTC facilities as well as Behavioral Health.
• CPR or Course can be provided during training
