Job summary

ViaQuest Psychiatric & Behavioral Solutions in Ohio seeks a Psych RN for our long-term care facilities. You will address mental, behavioral and physical health needs, perform nursing assessments, and review medications as part of a collaborative care team.

This full-time role features Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm, with no weekend shifts, competitive benefits, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities to educate caregivers and peers while supporting resident goals and quality care.

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
LPN or RN license.
Experience in psychiatric, mental and behavioral health services.
Willingness to travel within assigned service area.

Responsibilities

Address the mental, behavioral and physical health needs of clients on a weekly/biweekly and/or monthly basis.
Complete in-person nursing assessments as well as medication and chart review in long term care facilities (LTC).
Educate caregivers and clients on prescribed psychiatric and physical health medications and monitor for side effects.
Care management duties including coordination of community services and correspondence with treatment team members.
Assist clients in building coping skills to address mood, stressors and improve communication and in creating annual goals as it relates to their psychiatric diagnosis.
Possibly assist clinic and residential needs for assigned locations.
Help train and mentor peers.
