Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in Affordable Housing Property Management or similar role.
• Experience with Fair Housing regulations and program compliance preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organization and time management abilities.
• Leasing experience and understanding of rent collection processes.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of an Affordable Housing community with emphasis on compliance and resident services.
• Support regional supervision with property performance reporting.
• Market and lease units in line with Affordable Housing guidelines; pre-lease to minimize vacancy.
• Manage resident relations, address concerns, and enforce community rules.
• Handle rent collection, notices and delinquency tracking using Yardi tools.
• Prepare notices and ensure compliance with landlord-tenant laws and Fair Housing.
• Coordinate maintenance, work orders, and unit turns within specified timelines.
• Maintain accurate documentation and process invoices through Yardi Payscan.

Pay Rate: $65,000- $70,304 annually

About The Role

The PSH Community Manager is responsible for the overall operational, financial, and regulatory compliance performance of an Affordable Housing residential community. This is not a conventional market-rate Property Manager role: success in this position requires strong attention to program compliance, resident eligibility, documentation accuracy, and Fair Housing regulations, alongside day-to-day property operations. This role oversees resident relations, lease administration, maintenance coordination, rent collection, reporting, and Affordable Housing compliance requirements to ensure the property remains safe, well-maintained, audit-ready, and fully compliant with all applicable regulations. The Property Manager serves as the primary point of contact for residents, vendors, regulatory partners, and internal stakeholders. This position requires strong organization, sound judgment, consistency, and the ability to balance compassionate resident service with firm policy enforcement in a regulated housing environment.

What You’ll Do

• Oversee daily operations of an Affordable Housing community, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and program regulations
• Support the Regional Property Supervisor with overall property performance and reporting
• Market and lease units in accordance with Affordable Housing guidelines; pre-lease to minimize vacancy
• Manage resident relations, address concerns professionally, and enforce community rules consistently
• Handle rent collection, notices, delinquency tracking, and related transactions using Yardi
• Prepare and serve required notices (including 3-Day Notices) in compliance with local and state regulations
• Ensure full compliance with landlord-tenant laws, Fair Housing, and Affordable Housing requirements
• Conduct regular property inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and habitability
• Coordinate maintenance, work orders, and unit turn; ensure make-readies are completed within 3-5 business days
• Process invoices through Yardi Payscan and maintain accurate documentation
• Respond to emergencies and attend legal proceedings when required
• Attend required trainings, meetings, and perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in Affordable Housing Property Management.
• Preferably Permanent Supportive Housing experience
• Strong Customer Service Experience
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong leasing experience
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams

Preferred Skills

• Yardi Voyager experience (preferred)
