Job summary
Vultr is seeking a Provisioning Engineer to drive high-volume server activation and onboarding for its global cloud infrastructure. You will develop repeatable provisioning systems, automate workflows, and work closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Platform teams to support rapid expansion through 2026.
The role emphasizes Linux-focused automation, strong scripting skills, and attention to detail to deliver at scale during peak periods.
Qualifications
- Experience with Linux automation and scripting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver at scale.
- Experience with server onboarding and provisioning processes.
Responsibilities
- Execute end-to-end server onboarding, including imaging and firmware updates.
- Provision new servers to meet capacity requirements.
- Validate onboarding and hand off to Platform team.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions Engineering.
- Build and improve automation scripts and pipelines.
- Track onboarding metrics and drive improvements.
- Support server repurposing and migration activities.
- Maintain documentation and runbooks for provisioning workflows.
- Collaborate with Hardware team during physical onboarding.
- Contribute to process optimization for higher onboarding volume.
