Vultr is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to design, administer, and optimize Linux-based infrastructure supporting our global customer base and data center operations. The ideal candidate is technically driven, detail-oriented, and capable of exercising independent judgment when diagnosing complex system issues.

In this role, you will work across systems, applications, and networking layers to maintain secure, reliable environments, contribute to infrastructure upgrades, and support

Formación

• Strong Linux proficiency (CentOS, Debian, Ubuntu).
• Troubleshooting complex issues and performance optimization.
• Scripting with Bash, Python, or similar.
• Experience with virtualization, networking, or related development is a plus.
• Hands-on with web servers, databases, caching, and firewalls.
• Understand security hardening, Linux tools, and distributed storage like Ceph.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-team collaboration.

Responsabilidades

• Design, configure, and implement Linux upgrades and infrastructure changes for scalability and reliability.
• Maintain Linux servers and services; diagnose performance, stability, or security issues.
• Serve as escalation point for Linux issues and determine remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy data center deployments and readiness.
• Migrate applications and systems, assessing dependencies and risks.
• Monitor security posture and enforce compliance with standards.
• Develop automation and tooling to improve efficiency.
• Document systems and maintain diagrams for scaling.
