Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a proactive Provider Engagement Specialist to join the Provider Engagement team supporting the San Antonio market. This field-based role involves extensive travel across San Antonio, Bexar County, and nearby areas, with initial training in El Paso and occasional travel for events.

You will build strong relationships with providers, improve KPIs, and support education on Alignment programs and tools while managing documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in provider relations / contracting with an HMO or IPA, medical group or institutional provider.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong organizational, detail oriented, and self-starter traits.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Relationship-builder and team-player.
• MS Office suite proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with providers and staff to support growth, retention, and performance improvement.
• Partner with providers to improve performance on KPIs, including AWVs, HEDIS, and utilization.
• Onboard providers and provide ongoing education on Alignment tools and initiatives.
• Assist in development of training materials and provider in-service packets.
• Represent Alignment Health at provider meetings, trainings, and community events.
• Document meeting minutes and action items; maintain databases and reports.
