Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a proactive Provider Engagement Specialist for the San Antonio market. This field-remote role builds trusted relationships with physician practices and provider groups, partnering to improve performance across quality, growth, retention, and utilization metrics while supporting Alignment Health’s network expansion.

The position involves 80% travel across San Antonio and surrounding areas, with training in El Paso and occasional conferences.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related experience in provider relations / contracting.
• BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication, organization, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain collaborative relationships with providers and staff to support growth, retention, and performance improvement.
• Partner with providers to improve KPIs including AWVs, HEDIS gaps, hospital/ER utilization, and risk adjustment.
• Conduct provider onboarding and ongoing education on Alignment tools and programs.
• Create provider in-service and implementation packets; prepare performance reports and minutes.
