Job summary

The Boeing Company in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Prototype Tool and Die Machinist to join the Space and Launch Division on the Satellite Systems Team. This role involves planning, setting up, and operating high-precision machine tools to fabricate electrodes, fixtures, and complex dies in a lab environment.

You will work from engineering drawings, develop operation sequences, and ensure parts meet tight tolerances.

Qualifications

• Machinist Apprenticeship program graduate and/or completed a Machining Certificate.
• Minimum 10 years of experience setting-up and operating CNC Mills and Lathes.
• Minimum 5 years of experience programming G and M codes.

Responsibilities

• Plan, lay-out, set-up and operate all types of machine tools for laboratory machining with high precision.
• Design and fabricate fixtures and electrodes for Electrical Discharge Machines and hold tolerances precisely.
• Work from engineering drawings, prints, and blueprints to complete complex projects.
• Develop operation sequences, tool paths, and calculations for electrode and part layouts.
• Setup and operate tool room machines and EDM equipment to produce delicate components.
