Job summary

Electro-Methods is seeking a highly skilled Tool Maker to support the design, fabrication, repair, and maintenance of precision tools, jigs, fixtures, and gauges used in aerospace components. The Tool Maker will ensure tooling accuracy, reliability, and performance to meet aerospace production standards.

The role requires interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T, and setting up manual and CNC machines to produce tooling to exact tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years toolmaking experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing.
• Experience reading GD&T and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Manufacture, assemble, modify, and repair precision tooling, fixtures, and gauges.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints, and CAD models to exact tolerances.
• Set up and operate manual and CNC machines to machine tooling components.
• Inspect finished tools with precision instruments to ensure specs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality and Production to improve tooling solutions.
• Maintain tooling inventory, records, and AS9100 compliance.
• Troubleshoot tooling issues on the shop floor and provide timely solutions.
• Adhere to all safety and quality procedures.
