Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, manufacturing, materials engineering or other engineering discipline.
• 3+ years of experience with CNC machining.

Responsibilities

• Develop in-house machining capability for the tool & die team and deliver high-quality precision parts.
• Analyze parts and assemblies for DFM to optimize for manufacturing and assembly.
• Collaborate with design engineering, upstream production, and support teams to maintain relationships.
• Coordinate between manufacturing and design engineers, machinists, technicians, and quality personnel to ensure robust processes.
• Implement machining process controls to enable lights-out production and leverage latest technologies.
• Identify, procure, and install machine shop equipment and ensure proper maintenance and calibration.
• Contribute to cost optimization and cost reduction in fabrication and processes.
• Manage engineering capacity, schedules, and project plans to support production and R&D demand.
• Research new materials, manufacturing technologies and finishing options.
• Estimate prototype and production costs for tooling and assembly.
• Publish and maintain detailed development schedules.
