Job summary

Amperesand, Inc. in Reno, NV is seeking a Production Operations Supervisor to lead prototype-to-production builds on the shop floor. You will supervise production associates, ensure safety and quality, track labor hours, and partner with engineering to improve manufacturability and readiness.

This on-site role requires strong leadership, ongoing coaching, and the ability to deliver metrics and reports to move our solid-state power hardware toward customers.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of manufacturing/production operations experience.
• At least 2 years in a hands-on supervisory/lead role.
• Experience managing labor, timekeeping, overtime, and shift coverage.
• Practical experience applying quality requirements, standardized processes, and structured problem-solving on the production floor.
• Experience coordinating and delivering on-the-job training and coaching production teams.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear direction and real-time feedback.
• Ability to track production performance and maintain dashboards or reports.
• Commitment to safety and EHS best practices in manufacturing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise production associates on prototype-to-production builds.
• Own day-to-day floor operations ensuring safety, quality, and productivity; escalate issues in real time.
• Track, review, and approve timecards, labor hours, and overtime.
• Ensure quality standards on every building step; work with engineering on issues and corrective actions.
• Coordinate, deliver, and document on-the-job training for production associates.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce standardized work instructions and SOPs with engineering and operations.
• Monitor daily production metrics and drive continuous improvement in throughput, yield, safety, and cost.
• Create and maintain production reports, dashboards, and visual management boards for leadership visibility.
• Coach and provide performance feedback, address concerns, and administer discipline when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and reinforce safe work practices.
