Job summary

Amperesand is hiring a Production Associate to support prototype-to-production builds for solid-state transformers. The role focuses on assembling mechanical subassemblies and final units with precision, following strict production processes, safety requirements, and quality standards in a fast-paced startup environment.

Ideal candidates will read engineering drawings, follow work instructions in English, and maintain a clean, safe workspace while meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical work up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environment with machinery.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions, assembly drawings, and safety procedures in English.
• Willingness to wear required PPE at all times on the production floor.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards.
• Ability to follow schedules, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines.
• Willingness to complete required training and adapt to evolving processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical and electromechanical subassemblies and final solid state transformer units according to work instructions and engineering drawings
• Execute daily production tasks in alignment with established production schedules and build priorities
• Follow all quality control procedures to ensure products meet internal standards and customer requirements
• Adhere strictly to safety policies, EHS guidelines, and proper use of PPE at all times
• Perform material handling activities required to support assembly operations, including receiving, unpacking, staging, and moving materials using pallet jacks or other approved equipment
• Prepare and package finished products and prepare units for internal transfer or shipment as required
• Accurately complete production documentation, build records, and time or quantity tracking logs
• Participate in required training to develop skills for safely building complex solid state power hardware
• Support quality investigations by identifying defects, documenting issues, and assisting with root cause analysis when needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area in accordance with 5S or similar standards
• Communicate clearly with supervisors, engineers, and team members regarding build status, issues, or material needs
