Job summary

Aerotek seeks an Engineering Test Technician to support the build, integration, testing, and validation of next-generation energy hardware at our Torrance site. You will collaborate with Product Development engineers to assemble prototype electromechanical systems, wire and test assemblies, and troubleshoot hardware issues.

The role requires interpreting schematics and drawings, using DAQ systems and test instrumentation, and adhering to high-voltage safety and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years hands-on engineering technician experience.
• Proficient in electromechanical assembly and electrical wiring.
• Ability to interpret GD&T, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Experience building precision hardware for energy storage or aerospace.
• Familiar with DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, sensors and power analyzers.
• Knowledge of ESD requirements and high-voltage safety practices.
• Experience with harnessing, fasteners, and wiring harnesses.
• Soldering or electrical rework experience; IPC/J-STD-001 is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype electromechanical systems with precision.
• Perform high-quality wiring and assembly work.
• Support development testing and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Provide feedback to improve future product designs.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings independently.
• Utilize engineering test equipment and instrumentation effectively.
• Ensure compliance with high-voltage safety practices and LOTO procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and nonconformance reporting.
