Job summary

Critical Loop, Inc. is seeking an experienced Engineering Technician to join our Product Development team.

You will build and wire prototype electromechanical skids, set up development tests, troubleshoot issues with engineers, and help turn early designs into repeatable, high‑quality builds. This on‑site role requires moving between shop floor and test environment, with responsibilities ranging from wiring prototype systems to setting up instrumentation for development tests, and collaborating

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hands-on engineering technician roles in energy/industrial hardware.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings, BOMs, and prints.
• Experience building and testing precision electromechanical hardware to print.
• Hands-on assembly with torque specs, crimps, and terminations.
• Experience setting up test instrumentation and collecting traceable data.
• Knowledge of electrical safety practices including LOTO and PPE.
• On-site in Long Beach/Torrance and able to lift ~50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Build, wire, and assemble prototype electromechanical skids and subassemblies.
• Perform HV/LV wiring, harnessing, crimping, terminations, and connectors.
• Set up bench and HIL test equipment and run development tests.
• Capture clean, traceable test data for engineering.
• Read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings and GD&T.
• Identify issues, troubleshoot with engineering, and document root causes.
• Verify drawings and instructions based on build/test experience.
• Maintain lab tools and calibration; ensure safety practices are followed.
• Collaborate with Electrical & Controls Engineering, Production, Test, Quality, Field Service.
