Job summary

Aerotek in Torrance, CA, seeks an Engineering Test Technician to support build, integration, testing, and validation of next-generation energy hardware. You will work with Product Development engineers to construct prototype electromechanical systems, perform wiring and assembly, and troubleshoot hardware issues.

Interpret electrical schematics, use DAQ systems and oscilloscopes, and follow high-voltage safety practices and LOTO procedures.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Engineering Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in electromechanical assembly and electrical wiring.
• Experience building precision hardware to print in energy storage or automotive sectors.
• Ability to interpret GD&T, BOMs, and work instructions.
• Hands-on experience with precision assembly including harnessing and fasteners.
• Experience with DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, sensors, and power analyzers.
• Knowledge of ESD requirements and high-voltage safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Build prototype electromechanical systems with precision.
• Perform high-quality wiring and assembly work.
• Support development testing and troubleshoot hardware issues.
• Provide feedback to improve future product designs.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings independently.
• Utilize engineering test equipment and instrumentation effectively.
• Ensure compliance with high-voltage safety practices and LOTO procedures.
• Conduct root cause analysis and nonconformance reporting.
