Job summary

Enphase Energy, Inc. in Austin, TX, seeks a Mechanical Technician Temp for 2 months to support assembly of SST racks, skids, and enclosures. On-site daily; local candidates only.

You will follow drawings and instructions to deliver test‑ready assemblies, under engineering supervision, with emphasis on safety and quality. This temporary role requires hands‑on fabrication and documentation of builds.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on mechanical assembly in a lab, manufacturing, or prototype setting.
• Associate's degree or technical certificate in Mechanical Technology or related field; equivalent military/trade training.

Responsibilities

• Assemble prototype racks, skids, and enclosures from engineering drawings and instruction.
• Mount components using torque specs, fasteners, DIN rails, and brackets per drawings.
• Perform basic sheet metal cutting, bending, deburring, and fitting with shop tools.
• Mount heatsinks, fans, ducting, and thermal interface materials per specs.
• Install busbars and power conductors; wire basic electrical connections as needed.
• Identify fit/interference issues and implement fixes to keep builds moving.
• Receive and stage prototype parts; verify against packing lists and PO numbers.
• Fabricate test fixtures, jigs, and support structures for vibration and thermal tests.
• Maintain build logs, mark up drawings with as-built conditions, photograph builds.
