Enphase Energy, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Technician Temp to support the build‑up and integration of SST racks, skids, and enclosures at our Austin, TX facility. This on-site 3‑month contract requires local presence and hands‑on electrical assembly work.

You will assemble, wire, and test components per engineering drawings, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. The role demands 2+ years of relevant experience and strong familiarity with electrical systems.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or technical certificate in Electrical Technology or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on electrical assembly or wiring experience in lab/manufacturing/prototype environments.
• On-site daily reporting in Austin, TX; 3‑month contract; not remote.

Responsibilities

• Rack and cabinet build‑up—assemble components on 19‑inch racks and cabinets.
• Point‑to‑point wiring; verify continuity and perform ring‑out before power-on.
• Crimp, solder, and terminate connectors per specs.
• Fabricate cable harnesses from cut sheets and harness drawings.
• Wire busbars, fuse holders, and grounding per diagrams.
• Install and wire sensors and transducers.
• Assist with Hi‑Pot tests, insulation resistance checks, and power-on commissioning.
• Maintain as‑built drawings and build logs.
• Follow LOTO and keep work area clean and safe.
