Job summary

Wabtec is seeking an Engineering Technician to support Nordco Engineering Team in fabricating, machining, and testing prototypes and fixtures. You will setup, program, and operate CNC equipment, perform welding and assembly, and document results to validate product performance.

The role requires hands-on expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus test equipment experience and detailed record-keeping. Local travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as engineering technician, machinist, or fabricator.
• Hands-on CNC plasma cutting, milling, break press, fabrication, or validation tasks.
• Proficiency with CNC operations including setup and programming.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain CNC plasma cutting equipment.
• Use CNC brake press to form and bend parts to spec.
• Program/operate CNC 5-axis mill for complex components and fixtures.
• Weld, cut, grind, drill, and assemble prototypes and fixtures.
• Measure and inspect parts with precision tools to tolerance.
