Job summary

Harley-Davidson Motor Company in Wauwatosa, WI seeks a skilled Machinist Fabricator to support prototype development. You will machine parts with CNC mills/lathes, water jet, and 5-axis equipment, and weld steel/aluminum assemblies to spec.

The role requires extensive fabrication experience, reading drawings, and CAM programming to produce parts from start to finish. This is an onsite, full-time position with opportunities in a renowned product development environment.

Qualifications

• Eight years minimum experience as a prototype machinist, fabricator, or apprenticeship.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 20 verifiable credits in related trade school training or coursework.
• Ability to read complex engineering drawings and CAD models.

Responsibilities

• Machine prototype parts and fixtures to tight tolerances using CNC mill, CNC lathe, water jet, and 5-axis CNC machining center based on verbal instructions, engineering drawings, and 3-D models.
• Perform MIG and TIG welding of steel and aluminum assemblies to engineering tolerances.
• Program, load, and operate rapid prototyping equipment.
