Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a CNC Machinist to support the fabrication of locomotive/mining components. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, assemble components and participate in process improvements as part of a collaborative team.

The role requires 1 year of CNC machining experience, the ability to read blueprints, and a commitment to safety and quality. Strong teamwork and reliability are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 1 year CNC machining experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and manufacturing instructions to produce machined parts.
• Must be able to lift material up to 40 lbs.
• Must use and care for assigned tools and equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Legally authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass pre-employment checks.
• Willing to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, and grinders.
• Assemble components and finish parts as required.
• Inspect parts with manual and electronic devices to ensure quality.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Collaborate with team to improve manufacturing processes and tooling.
