Job summary

CCAM is seeking a Machining and Fabrication Technologist to operate and maintain industrial equipment, fabricate fixtures, and document procedures to keep processes safe and efficient. You will record maintenance history, create preventive maintenance plans, troubleshoot with a collaborative team, and ensure compliance with export control regulations while upholding safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in manual machining.
• Fabrication, welding, or other hands-on manufacturing processes.
• Experience maintaining industrial equipment.
• Attention to detail in operating and maintaining equipment.
• Excellent documentation skills for records and maintenance history.
• Computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, email).
• Strong mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting mechanical equipment.
• Adherence to safety protocols in an industrial setting.
• Must meet export control regulations for handling sensitive tech.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial equipment for machining.
• Fabricate fixtures and test setups via manual machining, welding, and assembly.
• Document and execute operational procedures to ensure safe, efficient operation.
• Accurately record operation and maintenance activities and maintain maintenance history.
• Create and execute preventive maintenance schedules to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot equipment and processes with a collaborative project team.
• Adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team to align goals with technical and research objectives.
• Handle technology and IP subject to export control regulations.
