Wabtec is seeking an Engineering Technician to support Nordco Engineering Team in fabricating, machining, and testing prototypes and fixtures. You will setup, program, and operate CNC equipment, perform welding and assembly, and document results to validate product performance.
The role requires hands-on expertise across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus test equipment experience and detailed record-keeping. Local travel up to 20% may be required.
You will be working as part of the Nordco Engineering Team helping bring new technologies to the Roadway Work Equipment industry.
You will play a critical role in fabricating and machining components, preparing test setups, and conducting validation tests to ensure products meet design specifications. This hands‑on position requires expertise in machining and fabrication, to build prototype machines, test stands fixturing and tooling. This is coupled with the ability to execute tests, troubleshoot issues, and collaborating with engineers to validate product performance and reliability.

The salary rate for this role is currently $55900-74100 The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
