Job summary

Enphase Energy’s Power Systems Innovation team in the office of the CTO is seeking a Mechanical Technician Temp for 3 months to support hands-on build-up, assembly, and integration of prototype SST racks, skids, and enclosures at our Austin, TX facility.

This on-site role requires local presence daily for the full contract, with responsibilities spanning rack and cabinet assembly, wiring, testing support, and documentation to ensure readiness for power electronics experiments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or certificate in electrical tech required.
• 2+ years hands-on electrical assembly, wiring in lab/manufacturing.
• On-site daily in Austin, TX for 3-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Rack and cabinet build-up per engineering drawings and layouts.
• Point-to-point wiring, terminate and verify power & signal wiring.
• Connector termination per manufacturer specifications.
• Cable harness fabrication from cut sheets and harness drawings.
• Power distribution assembly per single-line diagrams and schematics.
• Instrumentation and sensor installation on measurement devices.
