Job summary

Franklin Electric Co. is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician II to support prototype development, perform performance testing, and ensure reliability of test equipment in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

You will design, assemble, test PCB assemblies, and assist with regulatory certification processes. The role emphasizes hands-on testing of electronics, circuit analysis, and collaboration with engineers to bring innovative water-management solutions to market.

Qualifications

Associate degree or higher in engineering or related field.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
5+ years electronics or electrical engineering tech experience.

Responsibilities

Assist product engineers by preparing experiments, collecting data, and recording results.
Help design and implement product testing infrastructure.
Test, repair, monitor, and maintain equipment and test fixtures.
Assist with circuit design and PCB assembly testing.
Identify and order parts for product development.
Prepare records for regulatory compliance and certification.
Analyze returned materials and troubleshoot components.
Support root cause analysis of failures.
Contribute design input and participate in design reviews.
Collaborate with customers to meet specifications and improve products.
