Job summary

Franklin Electric is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to develop and validate new pump products, from customer requirements through PPAP approvals. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
• Three plus years of related experience required.
• Experience in design of pumps or other rotating equipment preferred.
• Experience with project management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create, develop, and validate new products from customer requirements, including concept feasibility, design validation, and PPAP approvals.
• Collaborate with a global multidisciplinary team to develop and launch innovative new products.
• Oversee product line maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective products.
• Benchmark competitive equipment.
• Collaborate across functions to resolve manufacturing issues (assembly, machining, etc.), and supplier qualification.
