Job summary

Danfoss in Tallahassee, FL is seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to join our R&D team focused on prototype components. You will program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, and grinders to transform engineering drawings into precision prototype parts with tight tolerances.

You will work with engineers to select tooling, optimize speeds and feeds, and verify dimensions using metrology tools. Proficiency with Siemens Sinumerik controls, ShopMill/ShopTurn, and Hypermill CAM is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of machining experience in precision manufacturing or prototyping.
• Strong proficiency in GD&T and reading engineering drawings.
• Hands-on programming and operation of CNC equipment, with Siemens Sinumerik controls and ability to read/modify G-code.
• Experience with metrology and achieving tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC mills, lathes, grinders to produce prototype components.
• Interpret drawings and GD&T to determine tooling, workholding, and process parameters.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure design intent, quality, and on-time delivery.
