Job summary

Highridge Medical is seeking a skilled R&D Swiss Machinist to create prototype parts and fixtures from drawings and CAD. You will program Swiss CNC machines with PartMaker, operate mills and lathes, and inspect outputs for accuracy.

You will collaborate with engineering on DFM, document processes, and perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment in top condition. Strong detail orientation is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience operating Swiss Type CNC machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to operate manual and CNC equipment and conventional metal cutting and plastic working equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and adherence to quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC programs with PartMaker and set up Swiss CNC machines.
• Operate mills, lathes, hand tools, bead blasters, and sanders to produce prototype parts and fixtures.
• Perform inspection on parts and fixtures to ensure specifications are met.
• Review CAD drawings and models; collaborate on design for manufacturing (DFM).
• Document machining activities and inspection results; support vendor transfers.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and keep equipment in good working order.
