Job summary

Hitachi Particle Engineering and Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced Maintenance Service Technician I to service the Proton Beam Therapy (PBT) System at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis.

The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance and requires working with a team to ensure safety, compliance, and equipment uptime. The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of technician or field service experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to interpret

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience as Technician or Field Service Engineer.
• 2+ years in PBT or medical device environment preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and interpretation of procedures.
• Ability to read engineering documents and diagrams.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word).
• Willingness to cover rotating shifts and OT as needed.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and improve PBT system performance and patient experience.
• Respond to service calls within a reasonable time.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance and complete related paperwork.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance with the team to optimize parts use.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues to maximize uptime.
