Job summary

St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is seeking a Medical Physics Assistant to join the Department of Radiation Oncology in Memphis, TN. The role supports photon and proton therapy QA, data collection, and equipment maintenance in a leading pediatric program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in physical sciences or a related field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in medical physics is preferred.
  • Master's degree in medical physics is preferred.
  • Two or more years of relevant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine medical physics services under the direction of a qualified Medical Physicist, including QA for photon and proton treatment systems.
  • Collect, process, and maintain treatment-related data.
  • Assist with maintaining and organizing medical physics equipment.
  • Organize and maintain documentation related to radiation physics, equipment calibration, and QA.
  • Assist with implementation and maintenance of radiation safety protocols.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and quality control programs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned in support of departmental and institutional goals.
