MEVION MEDICAL SYSTEMS INC in Omaha, NE seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain and operate the Proton Therapy System (PTS) at customer sites. You will troubleshoot, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure system performance while interfacing with clinical staff and Mevion personnel.

You will learn subsystems, document interventions, comply with RA/QA and FDA regulations, and travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualificações

• BS in Engineering, Physics, or related field, or 4–6+ years of technical experience.
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment is a plus.
• Strong electronics, electrical, and mechanical abilities.
• Experience with computer interfaces, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Familiarity with dosimetry hardware and software is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Operate Proton Therapy System, including troubleshooting and post-service testing.
• Provide highly visible customer support through on-site operation, corrective and preventive maintenance of proton therapy equipment and ancillary devices.
• Clearly communicate system status to the customer and Mevion employees.
• Work on other complex clinical systems related to the PTS, such as motion-control systems, CT scanners, X-ray and radiological technology devices, and robotic manipulators directly at the customer site.
• Ensure PTS devices perform according to specifications by monitoring daily treatments, system performance, and identifying needed corrections or improvements; report and document all complaints and key performance indicators.
• Maintain equipment and systems according to the maintenance schedule.
• Troubleshoot PTS equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and software problems.
• Repair equipment and systems, taking all necessary actions to solve problems.
• Report and document interventions and actions undertaken with required detail and accuracy in accordance with facility, RA/QA, and FDA regulations.
• Meet appropriate key performance indicators (throughput, customer satisfaction, uptime).
• Maintain a high degree of professional knowledge and safety consciousness, performing activities under the safest working conditions.
• Maintain a clean working environment and behavior in line with safety and regulatory rules.
