Job summary

Mevion Medical Systems, Inc. in Palo Alto, CA seeks a Field Service Engineer to maintain and operate the Proton Therapy System (PTS) at customer sites, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safe, reliable performance with clinical staff.

You will perform on-site maintenance, document interventions, and coordinate with service management while meeting safety and regulatory requirements. Travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Engineering, Physics, or related field preferred.
• Experience with radiation therapy equipment is a plus.
• Electronic/Electrical and Mechanical ability.
• Experience with computer interfaces, instrumentation, and control systems.
• Preferred experience with proton systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate Proton Therapy System with troubleshooting and post-service testing.
• Provide on-site maintenance and customer support for proton therapy equipment.
• Communicate system status clearly to customers and Mevion staff.
• Report and document interventions with required detail per QA and FDA regs.
• Meet key performance indicators such as uptime and customer satisfaction.
